Playing Golf at the Top Course in Fort McMurray
The Miskanaw Golf Club is the top choice found throughout Fort McMurray and provides plenty of great scenery throughout. This course is challenging for all skill levels and known as one of the best choices in all of Alberta. The course was redesigned by Robert Kains Golf Course Architecture, which has provided designs for over 125 courses throughout Canada.
If you enjoy socializing with other golfers, this is the place to do it. The Miskanaw Golf Club is a great place for socializing and one of the favorites found in downtown Fort McMurray. With leagues for men, women and juniors, there's always a program you can join to meet new people. They also provide the Start New at Golf or SNAG and Get Golf Ready programs.
The Golf Course
With 18 holes providing a new challenge around every corner, it's easy to fulfill your golfing needs at Miskanaw Golf Club. The course is part of MacDonald Island Park and provides over 7,000 yards of challenging golf for all skill levels. The redevelopment isn't complete, but the course is open with many of the new holes complete and ready for play. The final four holes to be redeveloped won't undergo any changes until the fall.
Currently the new holes include:
- Hole #6 - A 575-yard par five from the back tees, golfers are challenged by a lake on the left side and bunkering down both sides and around the green.
- Hole #7 - This par four measures 435 yards from the back tees and has a dog leg right making it a bit more challenging.
Rates and Membership
Memberships are available for adults ($1,649), families ($2,880), juniors ($225), NEW students ($825), seniors ($825) and Spouse ($1,225). Regular golf rates are $72 for 18 holes, $52 for nine holes with a guest rate of $62 and a junior rate of $22. Students and seniors also get a discounted rate of $48 for 18 holes.
