Discover Winter at Heritage Park in Fort McMurray

It all starts with an Old Fashioned Christmas event and continues with plenty of great winter fun at Heritage Park. This is one of the most popular places in Fort McMurray during the winter and for good reason. Here's what you can expect at the park this year.

Old Fashioned Christmas

As one of the largest and most popular Christmas events of the year, the Old Fashioned Christmas will be held on November 26th from 12pm to 5pm. This event will feature an old time Christmas celebration and provide an opportunity to bring the entire community together.

With plenty of fun including live entertainment, caroling, outdoor skating, hot beverages around the fire and so much more, this is the perfect event for the entire family. Many activities will be provided for both children and adults including a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause, the elves and more.

About Heritage Park

Along with the Old Fashioned Christmas event, the park is full of other great attractions. The little village found here is a huge attraction in Fort McMurray with plenty of self-guided tours and guided tours of the park available. It's operated by the Fort McMurray Historical Society and provides plenty of fun for the entire area.

The park is also home to a 6.6 acre museum, which provides many historic buildings and artifacts, which date back to 1911. The buildings are perfect for visitors and provides a look at the first school room, a trapper's cabin and even more.
